Tahoe 2010

Once or twice a year my family rents a house in Tahoe and whoever can go goes. We all stay in the same house and have a great time. This year it was planned on short notice (if you call a month in advance short notice), and the only ones who could make it were us, my sisters family, my mom, and my dad for a few days. As you can imagine, we spent a lot of days at the beach and in the water, but we also did a lot of relaxing and just hanging out.

Be prepared for a ton of pictures...

The Private Beach
The house we rent belongs to a client of my dad and brothers. The house is in a community that has a private beach, so we spent a little bit there almost every day.

Bailey had no fear of the water and absolutely loved to splash and play.

Next to being in the water, she loved to play in the sand with the shovel and bucket.

Helping her cousin Leah.

Pony Rides
Our second day there we took the kids to the stables at Alpine Meadows for pony rides. Despite some trepidation at first, Bailey really enjoyed being on the pony.

After the pony ride, Bailey played in the meadow next to the stables.

Down Time
We had a lot of down time. Bailey liked to spend hers chasing after her cousins.
She loved listening to Allison's MP3.

Yum! Orange Creamsicle.

Swinging with Dad.
Vikingsholm
One day, Jayson and I went to visit Vikingsholm in Emerald Bay. We saw some beautiful scenery, saw a gorgeous house, and had a wonderful time being together.

Me and "Selma"
Interestingly we lived in Selma for 2 years!

Some of that beautiful scenery.

Out on that tiny island, the owner of Vikingsholm built a little tea house.

These two pictures were taken on the way down to the "castle."
It was a steep 1 mile hike both ways.

Cousins & Tie-Dye
Mom bought a tie-dye kit so the kids could make their own tie-dye shirts. Even though some were more successful than others, as we were going for a circular pattern, it was still fun to make them and the kids looked great.

Kings Beach
Our last 2 days we went to Kings Beach on the North Shore. The beach was sandy, shallow, and warm. Perfect for some fun in the sun. The first day we went wasn't planned so we didn't bring any bathing suits (all of the pics are from this day). I think the kids had more fun playing in the water in their clothes than any other thing we did that week!

Strolling with Grandma.

Grandma and the kiddies--all wet!

We had such a good time. It was great to get out of town and enjoy the nice weather and fun of Tahoe. I wish we were still there!
