One Month

The first month has come and gone and Eli has lost that "new baby" look. He no longer looks really tiny either (even though he's still small). At his 3 week appointment he weighed 9 pounds 2 ounces (a pound more than his birth weight). He's also grow 2 inches. He's more alert and aware. He's getting stronger too. He's able to push himself up with his legs in the bathtub's infant sling. He's even smiling now and then.

I feel as though I can say I'm starting to get the hang of it. Two kids is a lot more work than one; it's more than double the work! But I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Does he look like Dad--Grandpa?

He looks a lot like dad. There are pictures of dad as a toddler and there is a definite resemblance. He has the Boden chin (dad thinks it's more like Butch's than his i.e. more pronounced). The first thing Jayson said when he was born was, "He looks like your dad!".

He's a doll! And is that one of the outfits we got him? Love it! And two kids is a lot of work. By the time Sami was born it seemed easier with time. LOL!

What a cute little guy! And, that is exactly what I learned when my second was born. More than twice the work!! It does get better though.
