I haven't been camping since Girl's Camp when I was 17, but I've wanted to give it another try for a while now. A few weeks ago, while Jayson and I were on a Sunday drive, we found Sugar Pine Reservoir and decided this would be a perfect place to go camping. We convinced Jayson's sisters Jodie and JoAnna and her family to go with us. It was only for one night, but we had a lot of fun. Bailey had a blast playing with her cousin Owen and it took a lot for me to not follow her around trying to keep her clean!
We borrowed my brother Blain's truck to haul everything and the 2 canoe's Jayson rented.

We worried about how this little guy would do. Would he be warm enough? Would the buggies leave him alone? How would the bottle situation work out? But he was a trooper. He had the best sleep of the 4 of us and was perfectly content to be held and watch everyone else.
Bailey had a runny nose and she kept wiping her nose with her arm. Like I said, I had a hard time not running after her cleaning her up all day.
After we broke camp, we went to the reservoir and went canoeing (I, of course, stayed behind with Eli).
You can't see Owen, because he fell asleep!
After everyone got back and we had lunch, Jayson and I went out in the canoes. I am not a confident swimmer in anything but a pool, so the constant swaying of the canoe was a little much for me. once we reached the center of the reservoir I was ready to be done and we quickly turned around and came back.
It was a ton of work for one night, but I would definitely go again. As long as we went for a couple of days!
