Disappointing Monday

Yesterday was the big ultrasound. I was so certain that we would find out what we're having that Jayson took time off work to be there. After sitting in the waiting room for 40 minutes (I was the first appointment of the day and still had to wait), wanting to throw-up all of the water I had chugged to "have a full bladder," and seriously needing to go to the bathroom, we were finally taken into the ultrasound room. After having my tummy pushed on for 15 minutes, I was told we were done. I asked the tech if he could tell what we were having and was told, "It's too early to tell." If I had had more time to think, I would have questioned him more. What did he mean it was too early? Isn't the time to look between 18-22 weeks? Am I going to have another ultrasound? After getting home and talking to Kim, I feel disgruntled. Did I get jipped? Am I now not going to know? When did you find out?

We found out with Brinley at 14 weeks, with Luke it was around 18 weeks because I had to have so many flippin ultrasounds- ask your doctor, they can probably do a wuick in office one to tall you what you're having. That stinks- I would have been so bummed too

Our "big" ultrasound with Aubrey was at about 19 weeks. She was stubborn though and was facing the wrong direction. The tech was super nice and told us to go get an ice cream cone, walk around for 2 hours and she would sneak us back in for another look. Luckily that worked. Sounds like they were running behind and trying to rush you...ask your doc what options you might have. We didn't have another ultrasound after that one so I am not sure what your medical provider offers. Good Luck!

That's sad, I'm sorry. We payed extra to find out about Abby at 16 weeks and then we decided to wait it out until 19 weeks for Hannah. Good luck and I hope you find out soon!
