Spring Break

We had a somewhat relaxing Spring Break. We were able to spend the week together as a family, as Jayson and I had the same break (which doesn't always happen). We spent part of the week home chillin', dealing with a computer that went kaput (we now have a new one), and figuring out what to do about our cable (which we switched in January) that was being difficult (we canceled it and now can only watch movies). The second part of the week we went to Roseville and hung out with family. While we were there, we also got the windows on the Nissan tinted. Hopefully that will help keep the car cooler. Note to self--do not buy another car with black interior! But, when we weren't dealing with the car we spent time with family.

Sunday morning we awoke to discover that the "Easter Bunny" had come and left us a family Easter basket.

Bailey was more interested in her daddy's new "car" than her books or rubber ducky!

My mom made a wonderful dinner of ham, jello, rolls, and funeral potatoes (these are fabulous & I'll have to post the recipe). To help set the tone, she used my grandmothers china, which this beautiful floral arrangement matched perfectly.

Bailey and her Grandpa Kaze. This is the best picture I have of her in her Easter dress.

Bailey and dad doing their favorite past time.

Bailey & Grandma Boden kickin' back.

Twins!

Ever since my parents moved into their house, 12 years ago, my mom has wanted an entertainment center for the front t.v. The problem, however, is that my mom is very particular, and while she knew what she wanted she couldn't find it anywhere. Jayson has wanted to build a stand for my mom ever since we met, and he did it this break. One day while my mom and I were out shopping, Jayson decided to surprise my parents with a tv stand. As always, I am very impressed with my husband's talents.

The finished product. Fabulous job!

I remember Mom talking about what she wanted when I was there in Feb. It looks great.

Does Mom like it? It looks so much better in the nook than just sitting on the floor in front of it!

Yup, mom likes it, so does dad.

And one more thing...Bedtime Stories is a super cute movie. "For freeee...?" The kids really picked up on that one.

We ended up exchanging it for Evan Almighty. Jayson's been wanting Evan ALmight for forever. I'll end up getting Bedtime Stories again though.
