Car Woes

Isn't it just typical that once a car is completely paid for and you have the "pink slip" in your hot little hand that everything starts to break? We made the last payment on the Nissan in November, and now everything needs to be fixed. We had the motor mounts replaced before Christmas, and we have this long list of other items that need to be fixed. The shocks, something to do with the A.C (the hose I think), and more. I don't pay that much attention to it. That's Jayson department, being the car aficionado that he is. Of course we'll get everything fixed, it's just a matter of time. But, dang, it's frustrating!

This is Jayson's new car: a 2007 Honda Civic. We got it in September when we were home for Abigail's baptism (after 9 months of car shopping!). The funny thing is, though, that this is the same car, although few years newer, that he had when we started dating. He had a '97 black coupe that he wrecked shortly after we got engaged. Fortunately, he also had an older Toyota Truck that became his main form of transportation. And, thankfully, as you all know, Toyotas run forever, which this truck did. But it was time to retire. Although he misses the hauling capacity of the truck, he's having so much fun with his car. He loves zipping in and out of traffic and the standard transmission! How did he ever think he could live without it?
