Busy Weekend

Shortly after we moved in our new ward Jayson was called to be the assistant to the Deacon's Quorum Advisor (he teaches the Priesthood lesson), and I was called to be the Primary pianist. This was the perfect calling. I didn't have to prepare anything for Sunday, I just showed up to primary and played. If only it were that now. Before the new year, the primary president asked to me to teach the Valiant 12s, AND play the piano during the 3rd hour. The perfect calling was falling from my grasp. I, of course, accepted, and started to panic trying to figure out how I was going to do everything. Prepare and teach daily school lessons, prepare a primary lesson, attend classes at night for my credential, and find time with Jayson. Well, so far it hasn't been bad, but I also haven't started my credentialing classes (they start in February). This week, however, has been crazy. On top of my school lessons and the primary lesson, I'm also in charge of sharing time tomorrow, and this morning was a primary activity, which I had to prepare a little something for my class.

This is my primary class. Not very big, I know. There are more members, but these two are the most active.
So, for the primary activity, all of the teachers were asked to bring some objects that define who we are so are classes can get to know us. This is what I brought:

1. A ruler. Why, because I'm a teacher, and what's a better symbol for a teacher than a ruler!

2. A picture of the BYU logo. There's not a day that goes by that I'm not proud to call myself a BYU Cougar!

3. Sheet Music. Piano is a part of who I am I've played for so long. I can't imagine not playing. I just wish I had more time and opportunities to play

4. Our Wedding Video. Being married in the temple, and knowing that we are an eternal family is a wonderful blessing, and one that I am thankful for everyday.
.
5. A picture of Mom, Blain, & I at the Chateau de Versailles, in Versailles, France (close to Paris). For my grad school graduate present to myself I decided I wanted to go to Europe. So I convinced Blain to go with me, which wasn't very hard to do, and Mom, which was a little harder. We spent 14 days in country, and went to London, Paris, Berlin, Munich, and Salzburg. Shortly after we got home I met Jayson. Needless to say that was a very eventful summer for me!
6. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This book represented so many facets of my life. My love of reading, my love of the Harry Potter books, and my love of the Harry Potter movies.

I can totally understand where you're coming from. When I was in the Sierra Ward, I was the Primary pianist, I taught the 6 year olds, and I was on the activities committee. Booyyyeee!! Talk about busy! Hang in there!!! This too shall pass.
