I just came from the doctor's office, and the good news is I'm dilated 1cm. Yahoo! Of course, I realize that doesn't mean too much (I was dilated 1cm last week too). But it does mean that it's 1 less cm of dilation I have to go through!
I have another ultrasound tomorrow. Apparently, my tummy's getting pretty big, so the doctor wants to measure the baby. Maybe she'll be here sooner, rather than later.
Now for the bad news, or, the not so good news. I apparently tested positive for Group B Streptococcus or GBS. Basically, it means that I have a bacteria that, if the baby contracts, can make her very ill. For more info go here. But, my doctor assures me that the risk to Bailey is limited as long as I receive antibiotics during labor. I will get the antibiotics via an IV, which should pass to the baby through the placenta making her safe. I guess this just definitely means that I will be getting a blessing (not that I wouldn't, but I definitely won't forget now). Has anyone else had this?

Wow, I didn't realize you were getting so close to having a baby. What an exciting time, good luck with everything. And with Abby I wasn't dilated at all at my dr. appt. and had her the next day, so it really could be anytime now although try not to expect it b/c it makes time go way slower. And no we aren't going to be able to make it for Thanksgiving or Christmas this year, kind of sad so I don't know when we will be able to come back since we will have 3 kids soon and have to pay for 2 of them.
I had the group b thing when I was about 36 weeks that just means you get more I.v. and lots of water. good luck on your pregnancy I had kaylee at 38 weeks
I tested positive too, with Spence I think. Just make sure they know you're positive!
